A weekly, virtual practice space for women to become better, more confident communicators—two minutes at a time. Based on skill sets found in the arts – stand-up, spoken word and poetry- members tell stories, try material and read written work. Studio includes constructive feedback from working Artists, as well as, conversation and support from members. You bring two minutes. Then, we talk about it. Practice. Feedback. Community. Includes FREE Admission to Monthly Open Mic.

  • Tell Me in 2- Studio requires a computer/ phone with camera microphone, Zoom, and reliable internet.

  • Studio is a weekly open mic with feedback for women who want to work on their speaking and storytelling skills over time. You practice regularly, receive feedback and get better alongside your community. We believe the best way to improve your speaking skills is to do it on a regular basis (and we have a great time doing it!)

  • Our Tell Me in 2: Studio is a subscription rate of $25.00/mo and includes free admission to our monthly Open Mic. That’s $5.00 per session if you attend weekly and the monthly Open Mic. No drink minimum and you don’t have to wear pants. That’s a great deal.

  • You have 2 minutes to perform anything you’d like. You can also join us as an audience member to support and then join in when you’re ready.

    Artist feedback is provided at each session, along with the support of the Tell Me in 2 Community. Members have access to the Tell Me in 2 Dashboard, link to TMI2 Facebook Page and access to our weekly meet ups to review their work.

  • You can join via phone or computer. Zoom links found in the members area of our dashboard. All STUDIO sessions are recorded and made available for 4-6 weeks.

  • No. The Open Mic is taught Masterclass style. Many students report learning from watching others perform. We want you to feel comfortable. Join us any way you can. When you are ready to talk, we’ll be there.

  • We have a few different ways to participate. A 2 minute presentation, quick chats and improv games.

    When presenting your 2 minutes we’d like you to have a framework- A good hook, supporting info and a great close. Otherwise, it’s all you.

    Tell Me in 2 isn't about perfection. Bring something polished, something half-written, something you've been thinking about in the shower or something you scribbled down five minutes before we start. Give it a go and see what happens.

  • Absolutely. No need to memorize. Come share and work your way up to whatever level of mastering you’re looking for.

  • Approximately 90 minutes. We encourage everyone to stay as long as they can but participants can arrive and leave as they need. Our team is always present to facilitate STUDIO work.

  • Many of our member are dedicated listeners. We have opportunities to participant in Quick Chats (not structured at all) and our Improv games, that Shakendra loves. (You’ll meet her when you become a member. She never stops talking)
